Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Dibrugarh
Kickstart your journey in the vibrant city of Dibrugarh, known as the ‘Tea City of India’. Immerse yourself in the rich aroma of tea plantations as you prepare for the adventure ahead. Check your bikes, and attend the mandatory briefing session to understand the nuances of riding safely through the region, making countless memories.

Day 2

Dibrugarh to Ziro (260 km/9 hrs)
Set off on an epic ride to Ziro the oldest town of Arunachal Pradesh state, known for its stunning rice fields, lush green valleys & the famous Ziro music festival. You can choose to cross the mighty Brahmaputra River on a machine boat, a thrilling experience that sets the tone for the adventure ahead.

Day 3

Ziro to Seppa  (240 km/9 hrs)
Ride through picturesque landscapes and challenging terrain on the journey to Seppa in Arunachal Pradesh state. Experience the raw beauty of North East India as you ride along the Kemang River & traverse through the dense jungles of the and winding roads.

Day 4

Seppa to Bomdila (140 km/5 hrs)
Embark on a fantastic route from Seppa to Bomdila, passing through quaint villages and breathtaking vistas. The narrow road cuts through dense jungle, offering a thrilling adventure at every turn. On reaching Bomdila you have plenty of places to see & things to accomplish including checking out the Bomdila Monastery, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, and getting a photo for your memories at Bomdila View Point. A visit to the apple orchard is a must before you retire for the day.

Day 5

Bomdila to Tawang (180 km/7 hrs)
Experience the thrill of riding over high passes on the way to Tawang, known for its ancient monasteries and stunning landscapes. It is known as the biggest Buddhist monastery outside Lhasa, Tibet which is an important destination as it was the birthplace of the sixth Dalai Lama. Get mesmerized while crossing the breathtaking Sela Pass, standing tall at 13700 ft, as you soak in the beauty of the Himalayas and are surrounded by the Lamas & snow-capped mountains.

Day 6

Tawang (Rest Day)
Take a well-deserved rest day in Tawang, a place steeped in history and spirituality, or visit the legendary Bum La Pass located at 15200 ft, known for its panoramic views of the Tibetan Plateau around the Indo-China border, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this remote Himalayan town. Make sure you try the local delicaies as you come back to Bomdila & enjoy the evening sharing the journey experience with fellow riders.

Day 7

Tawang to Nameri (300 km/10 hrs)
Journey to Nameri, known for its pristine forests and diverse wildlife.  Located in northern Assam the Nameri National Park is home to endangered species such as Sloth bear, Tiger leopard etc and it would be quintessential to visit the park.

Day 8

Nameri to Shillong (280 km/8 hrs)
Ride to the picturesque city of Shillong, also known as the ‘Scotland of the East’, famed for its rolling hills and vibrant culture. Passing through the serene wildlife sanctuaries of Assam you reach Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya state. Arrive in time to explore the local markets and indulge in sumptuous northeastern cuisine.

Day 9

Shillong (Rest Day)
Enjoy a leisurely day exploring the beauty of Shillong at your own pace. Visit the iconic Elephant Falls, pristine Umiam Lake,  and the stunning Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city below.

Day 10

Shillong to Dawki via Jowai (120 km/4 hrs)
Embark on a scenic ride to Dawki via Jowai, known for its crystal-clear waters and picturesque landscapes & amazing waterfalls en route. Explore the mesmerizing Dawki River and take a boat ride on its pristine waters. Do visit the India-Bangladesh border & don’t miss a chance to get a photo clicked at the Tamabil check-post.

Day 11

Dawki to Cherrapunji (120 km/4 hrs)
Discover the wonders of Cherrapunji (Sohra locally), known as one of the wettest places on earth. After visiting  Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village, head towards Visit the iconic living root bridge at Nongriat and marvel at the natural beauty of this enchanting region.

Day 12

Cherrapunji (Rest Day)
Take the day to explore the beauty of Cherrapunji and its surrounding attractions, including the magnificent NohKaliKai Falls & Seven Sisters Falls where the legend has an interesting story to tell about each of them, and enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Khasi Hills.

Day 13

Cherrapunji to Guwahati (150 km/6 hrs)
Get ready for the final day of our ride as we head towards Guwahati, the capital of Assam state also known as the ‘Gateway to the Northeast’, and explore the vibrant city upon arrival. The ride on this national highway through the lush green forests is not to miss. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Kamakhya Temple and the historic Assam State Museum, soaking in the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Day 14

Guwahati (Rest Day)
Spend your last day in Guwahati exploring nearby attractions, including a boat ride at the picturesque Brahmaputra River and the serene Umananda Island. Reflect on the incredible journey and savor the memories made as you bid farewell to the friends who were riding along through the enchanting landscapes of North East India.
